Yes! CBD Oil is legal in the UK as long as the THC content is less than 0.2%, as THC is a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. To be legal in the UK, CBD must also be derived from an industrial hemp strain that is approved by the UK.
There is a common misconception that CBD will get you high, because of it's association to the cannabis plant. CBD is a non psychoactive substance found in the cannabis plant, that does not get you high. Many people who use CBD oil report feeling calmer and more relaxed, not the same 'high' feeling experienced from 'THC' another compound found in the cannabis plant.
*All our oils contain less than 0.2% THC, which isn't enough to get you high.
Yes! CBD is safe, studies such as this one conducted by the World Health Organisation, state that CBD is both safe and non-addictive.
According to a pre-review report, conducted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 2017, evidence suggested that CBD is not associated with abuse potential and therefore not considered an addictive substance.
At Plant The Seed we always recommend using our CBD oil by placing approx 2-3 drops under your tongue, holding for 1-2 minutes and swallowing. See demonstration here.
When beginning your CBD journey we suggest starting off on 2-3 drops once per day. After a week, if you feel you need to you can increase this to twice per day.
We always say that everyone's journey with CBD is different. There is no 'one size fits all' when it comes to using CBD oil. Whilst others may feel the benefits of CBD after 30 minutes, some may not notice any difference until a few weeks of continued use.
We always advise being consistent and patient when beginning your CBD oil journey. Ensure you find a routine that works for you and enables to you incorporate it as a part of daily routine naturally.
Try to note down any changes, moods, differences when you use CBD oil. This can be a good way to track how you are feeling.
Researchers have discovered that our body contains an endocannabinoid system, made up for three components: receptors, enzymes and endocannabinoids. All of these components have an impact on several major processes in the body such as appetite, sleep, mood and inflammation to name a few.
Experts believe that CBD works by interacting with our endocannabinoid system, to maintain homeostasis and keep the internal functions of the body balanced.

Everybody responds to CBD differently, that is why we always suggest starting off slow and low when using CBD oil for the first time.
Ideally you may want to begin with taking around 5mg to 10mg a day. So if you were using our 500mg Full Spectrum CBD oil, then this would be approx 2-3 drops per day (approx 2mg per drop). After a week we suggest increasing your dose by 5mg, so another 2-3 drops per day.
If you are using our 1000mg Full Spectrum CBD Oil, then we would recommend taking approx 1-2 drops per day (approx 5mg per drop) to begin with. Again, after around a week of using and if you feel you need to then you may increase in 5mg increments.
Generally, there is no right or wrong time to use CBD Oil. Some CBD users will take their CBD in the morning, before breakfast, as it helps provide them with energy for the day or manage their anxiety in the morning.
Other users on the other hands, prefer to take their CBD oil in the evening, before they go to bed as it promotes better sleep.
Whenever you chose to you take your CBD oil there is no right or wrong time, the importance is consistency. Take note of how you are feeling when you take CBD and try taking at different times to figure out when it works best for you.
Once you have established the best time for you, try to incorporate into your daily routine in a way that works best for you.
If you are taking any medication or prescriptions then we always advise you to speak to your Doctor prior to using CBD oil.
As research is still in it's early days we are still discovering how CBD oil interacts with certain medicines. Therefore we always advise reaching out to your health care professional for advice.
Based on having 2-3 drops once per day each bottle of CBD oil should last you approx 1 month.
CBD will typically stay in your system for around 2-5 days, however for some it can last for a number of weeks.
There are few things to consider when understanding how long CBD oil will stay in your system, such as:
How much you use it
As with most things, the more you use CBD oil, the longer it will stay in your system
How often you use it
If you use CBD oil frequently, then it will build up in your body over time. If you only use CBD oil occasionally then it is likely that CBD oil will clear your system faster.
As we have mentioned many times, everybody is different and will respond differently to CBD. Things you could consider are your BMI, water content and metabolism, which could be a factor determining how long CBD oil stays in your system.
The short answer, is CBD should not show up in a drug test. However, our full spectrum CBD oils contain less than 0.2% THC, which is a controlled substance in the UK.
Due to the fact our CBD oils contain the legal amount of THC, there is a chance this could cause you to fail a drug test.
You can access our lab reports here to find out the exact amounts of THC in each batch of our CBD oils.
